Troop on their way to amazing Summer Camp Alexander, Colorado! Lots of fun, Merit Badges, Fun and enriching their Scout Experiece. Also I think the Dads will have a great time, away from the Texas heat.  Thank you to our Eagle Scout Deacon Ken, blessing the Troop on their journey out and home.

Boy Scout Religious Emblem Award - Ad Alteri Dei SIGN-UP

Posted on Dec 3 2025 - 9:04am
Parents and Scouts,

We will begin a session to fulfill the requirements of the Ad Alteri Dei religious medal beginning in March/April 2026.  AAD is the third in the series of Catholic religious medals and the first while a Boy Scout.  It is open to anyone interested who is at least in the 7th grade.  The workbook is divided by each of the sacraments plus an introduction (8 chapters).  However, this workbook is different than Light of Christ and Parvuli Dei in that it is more complicated, requires more thought and does entail working at home to provide thorough responses. For many, it is good preparation for the sacrament of confirmation.  This exercise also includes requirements such as, attend an ordination, wedding, baptism, etc. so starting early allows us to include any of those upcoming events on our calendars.
